We did it! 15 intense months we were able and very blessed to pay off $25,500! YEAH HA. Had a baby, hit some major bumbs but did it! We went and paid off our truck today at the bank! Our last payment of $4400! WOW what a great feeling. NEVER EVER AGAIN will we owe anyone anything! We will be able to give and live like no one else now. Our next goal is to pay cash for our home! Lots of sacrifice and lots of saying no. If I wanted something when I was in the store, I would put it in my cart, shop and hall it around with me, then return it before I checked out. That was my want fix for the moment.
Oh the freedom. For all of you who are already there or that have never been in debt more power to you, don't ever go down that road. It's not worth the heart ache. The best part of Dave Ramsey's book and program was the hope we had and the money fights stopped. Because we were on the same page and worked towards our goal! Our cute little Boston will say when she hears Dave's music is "we're DEBT FREE" It's the best!
