Busy as a bee...

So if you don't know my calling at church is the best one ever! I am the canning/food storage/emergency preparedness specialist! I actually asked to be the person when the last one in our ward moved out. It has been a blast!!! I have definitely gone out of my comfort zone and have done things that I thought I would never be able to do.

For the past month I have canned butter, strawberry jam, cheese and meats-chicken, pork and beef! They have all turned out great!!!
We borrowed the caner from the stake and filled our rice, flour and spaghetti for the year supply that we needed. We hit some great deals and the Lord blessed us with extra money to be able to do this. It feels great to have a little extra and being able to help so many people in our ward! It's such a rewarding calling. It's so important to get our food storage done! If I can do it anyone can do it!!! Go try it today!

Canning is one thing I have always wanted to learn how to do. Our ward here is crazy about 72 hour kits and such, but we need a calling like yours here.

Cool stuff!

Okay, first of all - congrats on the up-coming baby. (Sorry, I'm out of the loop a bit.) I'm so excited for you to have your second! Two kids is great. You'll love to watch them play together when they're older.
And second - how in the world do you can cheese! And meat! And butter! - And you're about to have a baby! You're amazing.
I hope all goes well with the delivery. I'll have to be better about staying in the loop with your blog. Love ya, Jennifer (Smith) Labrum
