1st Piano Recital

Last Saturday was my big day. It was my first piano recital that I put on and preformed in. 15 students were involved. Most of them playing 2 pieces. I played a piece at the beginning to break the ice and make the students feel better. I was so nervous, not playing but conducting. Better luck at the April recital. We had it at the Steinway Piano Gallery downtown. My students are awesome. I'm grateful I'm able to teach each of them and 14 of them are members of the church. 10 are in primary and 4 of them in Mutual. Heaven knows we need more pianist in the church.

Practice the week before for the big day. Then we had a pizza party afterwards. Let's just say our cute little house is not equip to have 15 kids! I think we will stick with 3 or 4.

CONGRATS on the first recital! My mom teaches piano, so I know what a production that can be. Kudos.

how fun! I didn't even know you played. Quiting is still a great regret of mine, but I still remember why I did. I would just sit on that bench and cry. It was rough. So maybe I don't regret it afterall. I just wish I could play!

Wow, you have a lot of students! I'm glad your recital went well. The practice session at your home looks a lot like what my recitals were - minus the parents, anyway. :) keep going!
