I got the COPS called on me today....SERIOUSLY

So this cute, independent, free spirit child of mine is the most obedient 2 year old I have ever known. She seriously listens so well when you ask her to do something she does it. As long as she's in a good mood and not throwing herself on the ground.
Well we go to the park right across the street from our house all the time. I totally believe in space and freedom. So I let Boston wonder by herself, I don't believe in hovering over children. As long as I can see her and she can hear me we are good to go. If she ever gets to close to the street of course I stop her before it's way to late etc. Well I was sitting on the equipment, Boston was walking around, doing her thing probably for about 5 minutes. Then out of now where this under cover cop shows up along with security and their manager. The manager lady tells me that they were just called about a wondering child, "does she belong to you?" "Yes mam that's my child she was not wondering, I've been watching her the whole time. I was sitting down in the shade, had my eyes on her the whole time. I don't need to hold her hand every second." "She listens super well" Then she proceeded to ask if they were my children and if there were any other wondering children around. We were the only ones at the park. Some person driving by saw B walking around, obviously didn't look very hard for me. Sure didn't stop to see if Boston was okay, they just called security. Gotta love it! It's great to know I'm such irresponsible parent:) I love Boston, I hope she continues to listen and have her freedom.

Do you live on base? Some people who live on base have so much time on their hands that they call the SPs for everything.

Wow, someone needs to get a life. Boston was just living her life and so were you. I cannnot believe that someone would call the cops. I guess it is just one of those stories that you can laugh at later with Boston.

Thats crazy... we had the same thing with Bk... only ended up having Cps come and investigate and see what we are doing wrong. Come on guys go find something useful to do, like helping kids that really need it:)

That is weird. If they were REALLY worried, they should have stayed with the child until the police came, eh?

Wow- so sorry that there are ignorant people like that! If they only knew what an amazing mom you are!

What I love about this is the fact that you will continue to let Boston have her freedom and not let the fear of others calling the cops on you stop you from being the good mother you are. You are a blessing to you family! And in turn bless the lives of the future.

I Love that people have time to poke there nose where it doesn't belong, but simply don't have time to care enough to see if the child is really okay or wondering.
