Home from the Hospital again...

We were able to come home Tuesday from the hospital. Then had to go back in on Thursday after Brooks Jaundice test. She was to high with her levels, 17 out of 20. She was dehydrated. My milk did not come in until Thursday afternoon. They call it Bilirubin, they have to be under blue lights for 24-36 hours. I could only hold her when I was feeding her. No fun, but enjoyed every minute I got to hold her.

Picture right after she had to get her iv hooked up. OUCH!!!

This is her personal tanning bed.

Loving on her daddy. Melting his heart. Thanks to great friends for taking care of Boston, Phil was able to spend a lot with us.
We went in on Thursday afternoon and discharged Saturday afternoon.

Our little family. Poor Boston has only seen her sister in the hospital and one day at home. She is adjusting very well to having baby Brooks around. I'm so thankful for real food and my comfy bed. I'm grateful for the great staff that took care of us, they ROCKED.
It's so fun to have all of us back together all under one roof. I'm so grateful for the gospel and to know we can be together forever no matter what happens as long as we do our part!
That's the story of this week!

I'm glad you're all able to be home now - what a blessing to have modern medicine to help our sweet babies. Boston looks like such a good big sister. And Brooks is melting my heart too...and it's WAY too early to want another one!

Brooks is such a pretty baby. I'm glad things went well with delivery. I remember how fun it was to bring my 2nd home after I had her. Our family felt so much more complete.

Boston looks so grown up!

Hey you! Congrats on the homecoming! That is a stressful time. Also, I can TOTALLY relate with the late milk. My milk has come in on the 5th day after birth! WOW! Very frustrating. They are starving, I am ready to give up, asking.. do i supplement with formula until it comes? blah blah.. Glad to hear you are all well now!

We went through that whole thing with Kenzie, she went back after 3 days and stayed for a couple more. Her bilirubin levels were so scary, she went in at 19 after I repeatedly told the dr. that I thought seh was jaundice adn after a heel prick test, we were sent imediately to the hospital where even under the photo therapy lights her levels kept going up, they were scheduling a blood transfusion when finally the number quit climbing, but she was at a 24. It was SCARY, SCARY, SCARY. Glad she is out of tHE woods and doing better. That bubBle bath pict of Boston is so cute!
