Time Out for Me

Saturday I was able to go to Time Out for Women here in San Antonio. It was great. I learned a ton of great info. The theme was Joyful Life. Hilary Weeks was a great MC and performer. My greatest lesson I learned was no matter how perfect we live the gospel and keep the commandments bad things happen to good people. The gospel of Jesus Christ is not insurance against pain. It is the resource when we are in pain. That really hit home to me, not that my life is not going to plan, but I really loved that. I know I can do anything with my Heavenly Father's help and I need to rely on Him a lot more.
I 'm thankful for Phil watching Boston all day and being a great dad and support to me.
Things I want in my perfect world someday to make my life more balanced.
#1 Two dishwashers
#2 A piano studio with french doors so I'm not bothered while teaching
#3 30 minutes everyday to study the scriptures(I've got about 10 right now)
# 4 Visiting Teachers

SOunds wonderful. I had to learn that lesson about how bad things can happen to good people. For a while when things were happening one after another, I felt like I must not be doing something right, so I started praying and reading twice as much. Trials still managed to come our way. I know that things just happen and it is just our job to deal with them the best we can and rely on the Lord becasue he will carry us through those times. Glad you got to go to TIme Out, I love those!

Hope to hear from you.:) My email is kjland2@hotmail.com. Just in case you don't remember my married name - the name you knew me by was Sister Landress.:)
